Hagen & Co is a software and services provider that has developed the first real time manufacturing OEE system that uncovers the significant financial opportunity hidden in most production facilities.  The company was founded in July 1990 to improve the performance of the world’s leading manufacturing and processing companies. Hagen & Co founder Ian Thompson realized that there was a large amount of opportunity completely hidden in manufacturing businesses due to constraints and mental barriers that form over time, particularly when problems are encountered that cannot be solved. This opportunity is completely invisible to the traditional cost accounting systems used in most businesses. Ian realized the only way to drive continuous improvement was to determine the True Potential of the plant or process and compare the actual performance to the true potential. By determining the reasons for not achieving true potential, Ian realized that it is possible to eliminate these reasons and improve performance quickly and significantly.

Hagen & Co has developed software products and methodologies that support a company’s Lean manufacturing system or Six Sigma process.  These solutions enable management and plant floor employees to compare present financial performance with the profit that could be made if the plant or process was running at its true potential. Once the size of these lost profits is determined, the company’s software tools break the total down into the individual causes of the loss. The causes can then be ranked by value and permanently eliminated. Hagen’s OEE and Six Sigma tools also allow customers to track the size of the loss over time to ensure that corrective actions are effective.

The results achieved by this real time manufacturing OEE system have been dramatic. Hagen has delivered over 400 projects for more than 80 customers in over 20 different industries. Hagen products and services are available worldwide from our offices in the USA, UK, and Australia. Our technology has been granted wide ranging patents in the USA and the UK, and patents are pending in 29 other countries.
