Please find below answers to a number of frequently asked questons (FAQs) that are typically asked about the True Opportunity™ Software
| 1. Who has access to the reports? |
| Every user has an account which controls the level of access allowed for that user. The system administrator can control everything that the user is able to see. |
 |
| 2. Do we have to show financial information? |
True Opportunity™ offers many non-financial reports. Any conventional reports e..g OEE, downtime or waste can be provided. As mentioned before, users can only see reports that they have permission to see and so financial information can be hidden from users if desired. |
 |
| 3. What data is need to produce the reports? |
There are 3 basic data types that are required for True Opportunity:
Setup Data - which includes information about products made on a line, machine or subprocess speeds, line configuration, downtime and waste codes etc. This data changes fairly infrequently.
Cost Data - which includes raw material costs, labor costs, product costs etc. This data changes more frequently but is still fairly static
Production Data - which includes output data, downtime and waste information, actual machine speeds. This data changes frequently -minute by minute |
 |
| 4. Where does the data come from? |
| The data can be read into True Opportunity automatically, manually or by a combination of both. If the data is available in existing systems, then True Opportunity can read the data in automatically at a defined scan rate. True Opportunity is able to read from the common data historians, other databases such as SQL Server or MS Access, spreadsheet files or even flat files. If the data is not available automatically, Hagen can work with you to install a real-time data acquisition system as a platform to provide data to True Opportunity. |
 |
| 5. What implementation effort is involved? |
| In order to determine this, we need to conduct a 3 to 5 day assessment of your facility to understand the layout of the process, the data systems that are in place and the infrastructure available for the software. Typically it takes 3 to 5 weeks to install the software for the first line and 2 to 3 weeks per line thereafter |
 |
| 6. Who is using the system? |
| There are several implementations of True Opportunity 1.0 which was known as "Action for Manufacturing" We have over 50 installations of Compass at various customers around the world. |
 |
| 7. What does the system cost? |
| We will determine the cost of the system after the assessment is completed. The costs for the system are made up of a license fee for the software, which is licensed on a line-by-line basis and the services to install the software. If support is required, there is an annual maintenance fee.
There could be additional software and services costs if a data collection system needs to be installed to provide data to True Opportunity™ |
